Hello to everyone,
I just want to ask if you know how to fasten up my Windows 7 – 64 bit Home Premium OS?
The specs are:
-
2 GB – DDR2 memory
-
Intel Core 2 duo processor
-
512 MB – Geforce 8800 GT video card
I wonder why it becomes slower and slower to start/boot up and performance. I would appreciate if someone can help me on this.
Advance thank you!

Oh, I think you are thinking to buy new parts of your computer because you mentioned it in your post. The good news for you is, you don't have to buy new parts to fasten up your machine.
-
All you need to do is to follow these steps to fasten up the boot or starting of your machine.
-
Click on Start.
-
You will see a search box there and then inside of it, type the word "msconfig" without quotation marks, then press enter.
-
A window will pop up and you will see several tabs, then click Startup.
-
Leave check on the check boxes beside the programs you want to load on start up and uncheck all the programs that you want to load when the desktop has showed.
-
Then click apply and ok then another pop up menu will appear, click exit and restart.
That will fasten up the starting of your machine because unwanted or unnecessary programs are removed.
Hope this helps.

Speed up computer and increase performance windows 7
Hi there Glock9,
I have an answer for you with regards to your question. This technique will surely fasten up the performance of your machine, as I am also using this technique. This is not a complicated instructions or any 3rd party software.
Steps:Â
1. When the desktop has showed, right click on anywhere you like except for the icons of the programs and taskbar.
2. Then click personalize, located at the bottom of the menu that appears.
3. On the themes, scroll down for a bit and search for the windows classic theme then apply it to your desktop.
This technique will surely fasten up the performance of your machine because Aero style of Windows 7, consumes big amount of memory which cause the poor performance especially when the memory is too small or many programs are open at the same time.
Hope this helps buddy!

This problem is there in almost all Windows versions and it is quite a big problem in Windows 7.
Â
There are many things that might slow down the boot up times. While loading up, the system has to read thousands of files and if any of those files are corrupted, it takes more time to read them thus Windows boots up slowly.
Â
Generally, Windows 7 is slowed down by errors in the registry. Use a registry cleaner like CCleaner which is capable of fixing registry errors and stop unused programs from loading up at Windows startup.
