I often work with databases and have a constant need to back up data whenever possible. I am often force to use pen drives and the transfer speed is a big issue for me. Is there a way to speed up the transfer rate for pen drives? I know that SSD and external hard drive are faster but I have to think of portability at the end of the day.

There is no such solution or software for this issue. Atmost , you can try following methods to make it work better
1. If the device is very old, replace it with a new one.
2. Format it everytime you finish your work, this will clear all the viruses or error files from the device.
3. Try buying a pen drive with USB version 2.0, as it is the latest one and gives a speed of 35 mbps.
