Sql server 2005 Installation Error

Hi Guys,

Today I am trying to install SQL Server 2005 in my system, but it gives a message that selection components are being configured, and when I receive this message then I press Next button but the same message appears again.

I was using Windows XP a month earlier and I installed this program easily but now I am trying to install this program in Windows 7, and it shows me this error. 

Please give me its details.

Sql server 2005 Installation Error

Hi Lizgriffinn,

As I get from your words you said that you are trying to install Microsoft Sql Server 2005 and your PC has Windows 7 as an OS and you get this error this time only, but when you were using Windows XP no error occurred, right?

I have faced this problem and searched a lot of times to find a solution to help myself and finally I get an advice from Microsoft help, to install SQL Server 2005 followed by SQL Server Service Pack 3 or a later update as there is a missed file.  Microsoft Support, here you  can find more issues with their solutions that you may face again.  Hoping that does not happen 🙂
