Strange behavior of Monitor Screen (from dim grayish to normal)

I am technician in a computer hardware shop. Today I received a computer monitor which has been showing a strange behavior. Its screen remains completely black/blank for 20-30 minutes, at computer start-up. Its takes further 3-5 minutes to come to normal view (from dim grayish to original color). Why is so? Please respond urgently.

Strange behavior of Monitor Screen (from dim grayish to normal)

There is problem with the capacitor inside the monitor. You an extra knowledge about electronics if your going to fix that one, if not ask a person with experience on repairing monitors. But if your going to check, review each capacitor inside the monitor and check it if explode. Then remove the damaged capacitor and replace it with the same one and have it soldered. This should be able to fix the problem.

Remember: Work on a static free workplace so that you won't get shocked on working on this. If you don't have enough tools, don't do this repair.
