Hi,

I am having an annoying problem with my monitor. Recently, I've been seeing that some pixel of my monitor is not working perfectly. It's always lit or always dark. When I turn off my PC, I can’t identify them. I don’t have any idea what to do to fix these pixels. Please someone help me. I don’t have a warranty on my monitor anymore. Thanks.

These type of pixels are called stuck pixel or dead pixel. You have to go for your monitor replacement, if you have many of them. But as you said you don’t have a warranty,  you can try these methods:

  1. Try some software that can fix stuck or dead pixel.
  2. You can use PIXELTUNEUP, which can improve video quality and color, that eliminate stuck pixel. First, turn off monitor, then insert PixelTuneup and turn it on. After that turn on your Monitor. Wait  for 20 minutes and then turn off your monitor. Your problem may be gone now.
  3. Next you can take a soft cloth and take a thing with dull head. Now fold the cloth on that thing and give pressure where the stuck pixels are. Before applying this turn off your Monitor. When you are done,  turn on your monitor and the stuck pixel will be gone.
  4. In this method turn on your monitor and CPU. Then open a full black image. Then take a pen like maker which has a round end. Now tap it on the monitor where the stuck pixels are. This will eliminate that problem.

Hope this helps

These are dead Pixels, and cannot be recovered. To fix this issue only solution is to change monitor. As long as you will work with it, other pixels may get start dead. So go to service center and ask him to fix this issue.

If you have some odd pixels displaying on your screen, see what kind of monitor you have. If you are using an analog monitor or a CRT monitor, try pressing the “Degauss” button. You can find it in front of the monitor or on the side. On the other hand, if you are using a flat screen LED monitor, unfortunately, you will not find any “Degauss” button.

In this case, just try connecting the monitor to another computer and see if the problem follows. If the same problem appears when you connect it on another computer then the problem is with the monitor itself. To fix it, either bring your monitor to an electronic repair center to get it serviced or buy a new monitor and replace it.

This problem is internal and a technician needs to check the inside for faulty components.
