Suggest me how to grab signal which is wireless by wireless gadgets

I am having problem with understanding which of the wireless gadgets does what and I would appreciate your help. I have a wireless router names Linksys WRT54GS that enables my laptop to work anywhere in my home. I need to know how to grab signal and somehow to get that signal into an Ethernet cable. Any ideas?

Suggest me how to grab signal which is wireless by wireless gadgets

Hi there,

I found out that the Linksys WRT54GS has FOUR LAN ports, which means you can have up to four computers using a wired connection. Connect the ethernet cable from your laptop to any one of the four lan ports of your linksys router. That's it!

Take a look at this image, you have to connect the ethernet cable to one of the ports which are marked in BLUE.
