Suggestions on how to use the Android properly

I need some suggestions on how to use the Android properly, and can you state me the lists of handsets that will allow us to build the Android (Linux) source code and how to install it on the handset? I am currently still using my old Blackberry Bold and I need some ideas on how to get the basics of Linux handset before I bought it. If no one can state / suggest will be offered I will choose the iPhone handset type.

Please give me some ideas.

Suggestions on how to use the Android properly

Android is the mobile operating system built by Google using Linux Kernel. Android is known as an open source project as its software is licensed freely from Google but you can modify and distribute it freely. This is what differentiates it from Blackberry and Apple. Blackberry and Apple’s operating system are closed thus little can be done on them and you may have limited things that you can do with it. You just have to know how to customize the phone and you would be good to go.
