Surface Tablet from Microsoft Replacement for iPad

With the recent hoopla about Microsoft's Surface not working on a showcase, is it really possible that the tablet replace or compete with iPad? How about Android powered tablets? Your opinion will be much appreciated.

Surface Tablet from Microsoft Replacement for iPad

       It will be advantage for Microsoft because there are many people using desktop computer uses Microsoft windows Operating System.

So if they launch this tablet, many of us will have excitement to buy this one because we are already familiar using windows operating system and it will also run using new windows operating system which is windows 8. It will be a big competition between apple and Microsoft since apple also have iPad tablet.  

About android tablets, we all know that it runs free operating system, so many people especially looking for free will purchase android tablets. But I think the competition here is the functionality and where the people will be comfortable to use tablet products. It is still depends on the persons purpose.
