Every time I switch on my computer in XP pro. The computer tends to respond very slow for the first 5 minutes. Later it is alright. It is quite annoying. I checked and found that a process called svchost.exe is taking all CPU charge. When I end that process my Internet connection has been cut off and my sound system crashed.
What should I do?
Svchost.exe problem in my Windows XP
Svchost.exe is taking whole charge is because it is a part of hosting service. Means your all dll concern to it! If you end this process, you will get these exceptions. But the problem is that why this is taking so much charge. So, the solution is reinstalling your operating system and check the memory consumption on process of task manager.
Svchost.exe problem in my Windows XP
Hi,
Svchost is major service to run at startup to load all dynamic link libraries and a bunch of main services. So taking much memory at startup is not a big issue. But once Windows is loaded it shouldn’t eat that much memory. If still it’s doing so install the update “WindowsXP-KB927891-v3-x86-ENU.exe” and its all components. Keep the XP Windows updated as it is generic reported problem by Microsoft itself, so no need to worry. If updates don’t ping you automatically do it manually by visiting Microsoft site. Hopefully you don’t have to install new Windows.
All the best and regards.
