Switch from Windows XP to Windows 7 Essentials

Hi guys,

How much is the cost of w7 essentials? I got windows xp operating system and planning to switch to windows 7 operating system, is windows 7 Os is a total package with windows 7 essentials application? I am not an expert when it comes to OS so I need some advice from the experts.

Switch from Windows XP to Windows 7 Essentials

Microsoft  W7 security essential is free to download. If you are upgrading to Windows 7 operating system, you can download windows 7 essentials from microsoft website, here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14210/security-essentials-download . W7 Security essentials is not included in Windows 7 OS package. You just have to download it free from microsoft site.

However W7 security essentials now named as Windows Defender is included in OS Package of recently released Windows 8 OS. You will find this link useful here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/products/windows .
