Hi,

Why am I having trouble accessing its data in the following location using Taproot system software?

I can’t understand what is the cause of this error?

I really want some assistance to resolve this issue. Suggest me immediately.

Any help would be appreciated.

I am getting an error when I launch TapRoot. It is a software that can be used to facilitate investigations and report accurate results. The first time I used it on my friend’s computer but now on my computer it shows up an error stating that there is trouble accessing some location.

The Taproot System Software is experiencing trouble accessing its data in the following location:

Server/Instance Name: (local)TAPROOT

Database: Taproot

Please verify that the name of the server and instance displayed in the SQL Server Service Manager is the same as the one listed above.

TapRooT System Software error has occurred

This might happen if your SQL server is not running on the system.

To check if SQL server service manager is running:

• Look for a computer icon in with a red or green dot, at right side of task bar of your computer, a red dot means the service is not running and you need to open the program by clicking on it two times and starting it and a green dot means the program is running fine, as shown in the image.
• In case you don't see this navigation short cut, you will need to look in 'Program files' in your system's 'System Drive' and look under 'MS SQL Server' folder and search for 'sqlservmge.exe' file and execute it by double clicking it.
