I need software which will show all the information of a media file. I have found some software but those are not working correctly. I need to know not only the file but also the folder properties. Is there any codec which have built in mediainfo? Please let me know.

Yes, there is some software for watch all the file information. MediaInfo might be the perfect solution for this. It's very handy for getting the file information especially from media files.Normally it is installed with several codec pack but if one wishes to install it manually then here is the File here

After installing it run and there will be an option that says enable context menu. Tick that and that's all. After right click into any media file and there will be an option called Mediainfo, click it and there will be loads of information you'll ever need. Yes, there are many codecs which have built in mediainfo.

Shark 007 Codec is a one of codec which can be used for it.

Try it & enjoy.

I’m not sure if there is a media player that is not capable of displaying the details or the information behind the file it is playing. Every third-party media player I used like VLC media player can display the details of the video. You just need to select the correct option to display the video details.

If you like third-party media player, download MPlayer for Windows. Now, to display the information of the video, start SMPlayer then load the video you want to watch. After this, go to “View” then select “Information and properties” or press Ctrl + I.

In the file properties window, in “Information” tab, you can see the different properties of the video like the screen resolution or the screen size of the video, length or duration, video format, bitrate, audio format, and others. VLC media player also has this feature. In VLC, go to “Tools” then select either “Media Information” or “Codec Information.”

In Windows Media Player, go to or click “File” then “Properties.”
