I tried to find on the net a freeware viewer Garmin img that you will be able to view garmin img map and  find this free application " GPSMapEdit " Try to download from the official website by this link : http://www.geopainting.com/

And now enjoy your self by this cool application

Is there any freeware viewer Garmin img ?

 

Yes here is a free program for you called as

GPSMapEdit 

it will open all the Garmin images but it will not open those files if they for NT maps ,you will have to use another program known as

gmaptool

it is used to break up large files into smaller ones then GPAMapEdit  will work easily.
