There is no disk in the drive error message

Hello,

I have been working with one of my customer in cleaning the infection on his network. I have been using Piriform CCleaner . This tool usually erases internet history and other unused files. This will help clean the machine out of infection at times.

I was trying to scan the registry for any unwanted files and it comes up with an error pop up:

There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive E:

                Cancel      Try Again     Continue

If I click on Try again it does not do anything, if I click on continue it proceeds for sometime and then comes back with the same error message.

If I click on cancel the scan stops.

Please help.

Well, you are facing the mentioned problem which is not a serious problem. You used the software to erase internet history and other unused files and clean the machine out of infection at times.  Your windows is not finding disk in your disk drive. The software you used create problem in your windows.

You just go to the control panel,then go to the administrative tool>Computer management>Device manger. Then select CD/DVD Rom drives right click on it and click on the scan for hardware changes. after doing this see the CD/DVD is working well or not. If still any problem re-setup your windows. That might work.
