Hi,
I am using Outlook 2013 and I often get this error when using it “There is not enough free memory to run this program. Quit one or more programs and try again.” And it affects both the Exchange and IMAP accounts with multiple accounts running.
Any ideas how this can be fixed?
Cannot expand the folder. There is not enough free memory to run this program. Quite one or more programs and then try again.
OK
This affects both the Exchange and IMAP account when you have multiple email accounts enabled.
There is not enough free memory to run this program
Hello,
You have not mentioned what type of a PC you have, in particular the Windows Operating System. Is it 32-bit or 64-bit? There are specific requirements for a PC that can properly host the Outlook program. As you know, Outlook is an Office application.
Here are the key general requirements for Office 2013, as mentioned on the official Microsoft website.
-
RAM (1 GB for 32-bit and 2 GB for 64-bit)
-
Hard disk (3 GB)
-
Processor 1 Giga Hz or faster x86
-
Windows Server, Windows 7, Windows 8
Also, for improved online experience Microsoft recommends installing Silverlight together with Office 2013.
Please verify whether you have all the minimum requirements met on your PC.
Now, concerning Outlook 2013, there are minimum requirements for certain features offered by that application. Please consult the product website to verify whether you are using any of those features that Microsoft put some notes about describing feature specific minimum requirements.
