Is there such thing as phone recording for linux?

I would like to state a disclaimer first, I am not a intruder and I don’t intend to spy on other’s call, I need this application for business use only.

Now, I am running on Linux and I am trying to figure out if there is such thing as phone recording for Linux. It could be something like an answering machine for phone calls and if somebody could pick up the phone aside from me, it will record and save the conversation.

Is there such thing as phone recording for linux?

Yes, I think you can use the Linux MCE (Linux Media Center Edition) for your purpose. I hope it will serve your purpose. It is a free and open source software platform. It includes a full-featured VoIP compatible phone system by using which you can record and save the conversation over phone. This Linux system can be work as telephone PBX systems so it will work as an answering machine i hope.
