Timed out while connecting to DirectPlay lobby

Hi there,

I have this error from my new game that I have installed on my PC. Total Annihilation is giving me this error and I don’t know what it means. I have this error when I want to play online. I have a high speed Internet connection and this should not be a problem. Can anyone help me to fix this error ? What could be the problem.

Hello There,

Set up port relationship in Winroute.

You may refer their official website for more help.

Basically, you need to do a mapping of range of TCP/UDP ports

It may look like this

port map 1:

Protocol: TCP

Listen IP: <Unspecified>

Listen Port: port range 2300 to 2400

Destination: Your internal IP (192.168.x.x)

Destination port: 2300 to 2400* (*=greyed out)

Allow access only from: should not be checked

port map 2:

Protocol: UDP

Listen IP: <Unspecified>

Listen Port: port range 28800 to 28912

Destination: Your internal IP (192.168.x.x)

Destination port: 28800 to 28912* (*=greyed out)

Allow access only from: should not be checked
