Will I be able to transfer MS Word Documents to iPad from an XP Machine and vice versa?

I was wondering whether a phone can be used as an external hard drive. The biggest advantage with Droid phone is that we will be able to download files and able to transfer them even without iTunes.  Not all computers have iTunes where files can be easily transferred.

Thanks in advance.

Lots of Apple iPad owners asked such type of questions, whether it's for Pages, or one of the other iWorks applications. You can easily do this. I will give you the best solution and I hope so it will work for you.

First of all you need to install the “Pages app” from the App Store. This is available for $9.99 only.

Then connect your iPad with computer. I have already done this on my MacBook Pro. I hope it will work for all Mac devices.

Now Click on the "Apps" tab.

Now you see the screen that lets you choose which apps you want to have on your iPad and organize them as you desire:

Click on "Pages" apps and then click on "Add"

It will show you a window where you can select the documents (.doc and a .pages) you want to work with.

That's all you have to do on the Mac side, which isn't too bad once you learn where the secret data library is located. Resynchronize your iPad and the data files will transfer.

Now launch “Pages apps” on your iPad.

It will open a screen; here you can see the folder icon on the top right corner. You can get your newly created document archive.

Tap it and it will show you all transferred documents onto your iPad.

Now you can view, modify and tweak it. “Pages apps” is not a fully functional editor on iPad, but it keeps you moving on the road.
