Hello, I found a trial antivirus download from avast and installed it on my laptop. Now my laptop only has white screen, I think it hang up after I had installed the antivirus software, the cursor of the mouse is not shown either. I decided to install a new antivirus as I think my existing antivirus which is Norton has expired. At least some functions of Norton has expired so I suspected my laptop‘s virus-infected.

Installing multiple antivirus softwares on a PC is a tricky business, especially when it comes to Norton. They start to interfere with each other and the PC goes insane. There is no easy solution to this except maybe to reinstall your system.
One solution that might be easier is if you are on Windows is to run System Recovery.
1. Press Win + R or Start -> Run or type run in the search (if windows 7)
2. IN the dialog type rstrui and press enter
3. This will run Recovery Manager
Depending on your OS version you'll need to navigate to an earlier point (before you installed avast) and try to recover your system to a previous state.
If you manage to do that, uninstall Norton first and then install Avast.
Thats the best solution I could give you.
