I just recently purchased Adobe Suite CS3. I am checking the software included with it one by one. I came across with Adobe Premiere. I tried to import a photo, no issues. Including the effects that I can use. I imported a video file with sound, both I cannot hear the sound and cannot see video in the edit screen. Can you tell me what is the possible cause of this problem? Can you give me instructions on how to resolve it? Can you provide me alternative resolution for this to be resolve? Thank you!
Trouble with Adobe CS3 no video and no sound after importing
Hello Marco!
I simply tested and guarantee you that this resolution works.
1. Go to Control Panel by locating it in Start Menu.
2. Once inside Control Panel, look for Sounds and Audio Devices, and select Audio Tab.
3. Select the proper audio device to receive playback and recording, click Apply.
4. Go to Sound Playback option and select Volume.
5. Make it sure that in this window the “Mute All” is deselected.
6. Select Ok button and close the window.
You can also try this resolution.
1. Look for Project >> Project Settings >> Audio
2. A new window will open, Project Settings window.
3. Under drop down list, make sure that the selected setting is Audio.
4. The rate must be set to 3200 Hz, format = 16-bit stereo, compressor = Uncompressed, interleave – 1 second, enhance rate version = Best, create audio preview files = 3, and 1 for the last box.
For no video in the playback do the following options.
1. Look for Project >> Project Settings >> Video
2. A new window will open, Project Settings window.
3. Under drop down list, make sure that the selected setting is Video.
4. Make sure that the value for Compressor = Cinepak Codec by Radius (or whatever codec you have), and then click Ok button.
5. Make it sure also that in your timeline, the (eye) is visible so the video is not hidden.
6. Downloading codec for different video formats will be better.
