Trouble Installing Skype Call to Call toolbar

Is anyone else having some trouble installing the Skype Call to Call toolbar?

Whenever I open the installer an error report pops up:

The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package, this may indicate a problem with this package.

The Error code is 2738.

I need help, please.

Trouble Installing Skype Call to Call toolbar

Hello, James sorry about it, but error 2738 is mainly caused due to misregistration of vbscript.dll.

Even if you download the newest version am sure you will get the same problem, I suggest you follow the procedure below to register again since Skype installer relies upon Java script and VBScript.

Click on start button – all programs – Accessories – right click on command prompt – then select as run as administrator

This will take you in the directory window C:WindowsSystem32

Then type regsvr32 vbscript.dll then Enter

A message will show up DLL has been registered

Restart your computer and try to run the installer.

Sometimes you may need to reset your internet explorer settings use the link

In all your need to keep your skype, internet explorer, DirectX, Java software update in order to run Skype smoothly.
