Trouble upgrading to Norton 2012

Hello everyone,

I’m having trouble upgrading Norton 2012 Smart Virus Def. PreRelease. I’m using Windows 7 Professional and I have a fast network connection so I guess that couldn’t be the problem. Everything seems to be working properly until I try to upgrade and get this message:

“Norton LiveUpdate Summary

Item

Norton 2012 Smart Virus Definitions x64 PreRelease

Status: Failed to complete

Update Criticality: Recommended

More information”

I would be very grateful for your opinion.

Trouble upgrading to Norton 2012

Hi Liam,

Instead of updating your norton antivirus say from a beta version to a full version, I will suggest that you just get a copy of the full version and perform a full installation of it on your system. Sometimes the antivirus brings problems when it comes to updating especially in the beta version.

If it refuses is still then I will recommend that you try a new antivirus on your system if you do not mind. AVG, Kaspersky and bitdefender are some of the strongest antiviruses that you might want to try using on your system for the offer best protection for the system
