Trying to connect Informix database through SSIS in Windows x64 environment

Hi experts,

I am trying to connect Informix database through SSIS in Windows x64 environment.

I searched from the internet to find the proper way to do it but could not find any way. What to do now?

Any help would be really appreciated.

Prefix path with C:WindowsSysWOW64 and restart the installer.

Trying to connect Informix database through SSIS in Windows x64 environment

Hi there Sue K Burgos,

 

You're getting the error because you are trying to install the 32-bit version of the software to the 64-bit machine.

There are few things you can do to resolve the problem.

 

The first is to redownload the installation package, this time the correct one.

Once you have the proper installation package the installation should go smoothly.

 

Another thing you can do is to change the path of the installation to meet the requirements.

The easiest way to do this is to click the Start button, in the Run field enter CMD and press enter.

When the console is up type:

PATH=%WINDIR%SysWOW64;%PATH

and press enter. 

Run the installer and follow the wizard to finish the installation.
