I got an error message which states that:
I downloaded Window Media Players few days ago. Today I tried to install it but I can not do this because an error message occurred:
As I was attempting to open my WMP. I used "SFC /scan now" and nothing happened. I used “unregmp2.exe /Update WMP Edition” to try and fix the problem. I did nothing to the DVD ROM, and today I cannot print from my printer because if I try to click ‘Print’ my MS Word pauses/hangs (or whatever program I am in). What should I do? Please help?
Windows Media Player
The file wmploc.dll has a version number of 11.0.6001.7000 where 11.0.6002.16489 was expected.
Windows Media Player is not installed properly and must be reinstalled.
Do you want to install the Player from the Microsoft Web site?

Hello Dear Matthew L Peters,
Dear it is not a much higher problem.
You have not installed windows media player correctly. Or it is also be assumed that you have not installed proper codec pack to play files.
First try to reinstall windows media player a latest version. Go to Microsoft site and download windows media player from there.
This installation will resolve your problem.

Hello Metthew,
There is conflict between your DLL files. When you downloaded the Windows media player it came with the previous version of the DLL file (wmploc.dll). Since now you are trying to install it, Windows has upgraded the DLL file and you still have the older version in the setup. The solution is simple. Download the upgraded wmploc.dll file and replace it with the previous version. Install it again. You will face no problem.
Thanks.
