Hi,
I was using windows 7 for past few months however recently I needed to install Windows XP on my computer. But can't remove win 7 and reinstall XP professional. Its keep saying: Stop error 0x0000007b.
Is there an XP format tool that needs to be used first? Can anyone help me out to get rid of this error?

Trying to install Windows XP professional and remove Windows 7
Hello Morrison Boyd,
This issue could arise due to many reason like the Motherboard contains only an Embedded IDE Controller that has different chipset than the original one. Hard disk detect that different chipset, you need the Chipset of same size. Other option is that you can do repatriation of your hard disk and then re-install the Windows XP.
If still problem remains same then apply this solution:
Start up < press F2 to enter BIOS <expand the Drives section < Go to SATA Operation < change RAID Auto/AHCI to RAID Auto/ATA
