I was trying to update Windows 7, but it is displaying Error code: 0Xc004f074 and saying that the Key Management Server (KMS) is not available.

Trying To Activate Windows 7, Error Code: 0Xc004f074 Appears On The Screen.

This error occurs because the support version of KMS client does not match the KMS host machine.

If the system is having Windows Server 2003 running on it, you have to update the Key Management Services. There are updates available for Windows Server 3 and all other versions of Windows Server 2003.

If the system is having Windows Server 2008 running on it, you have to update the Key Management Services. There are updates available to extend the support of Key Management Services for both Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008.
