Hi
I have recently upgraded my Ubuntu desktop to unity. But the look and feel in not of my type, seriously. The desktop workspace switching is, good kids eye candy but not pleasing my old eyes. How do I remove this animation and just get a simple quick switch.

Thanks, that’s a good tool. I can use it to disable other head spinners too.
But there are a lot of options. Can you briefly tell me, which one shall turn off this cubic rotation?

May be you are looking for: Desktop>Desktop Wall>Viewport Switching set “Wall sliding duration” to 0. OR Desktop>Desktop Wall>Viewport Switch preview “Switch target preview visibility time” to 0.

You can completely disable those features; uncheck, "Show Viewport Switcher Preview" and set, "Non Sliding Windows" to "any”.
