I installed an anti-virus a week ago and it works properly then I installed my favorite anti-virus last 2 days ago. My computer was infected by viruses and was healed but my problem is many of my documents were missing. I don't know if these files were automatically deleted or hide.Â
Two Anti-Viruses Deleted Infected yet important files.

Before you start recovering the file, make sure first that it is deleted. Open up the interference and click on the Computer Scanner tab and look for something like Virus Vault. Click it to open up. This is where your infected files get quarantined. The deleted file might still be there not unless you cleared out the vault.
Â
Just click on the relevant files and restore them. If the files are really infected, you might want to use another scanner or antimalware program to clean out the infection. If the files are not there, then they are truly deleted and you will need to try recovering it with a file recovery program.

Hi Techdee,
If the files/documents were infected by the virus too then it is possible that they were deleted. But you can still find them in the virus vault if you are using AVG antivirus, toolkit if you are using Norton and the other anti viruses should be having a feature like that too.
If the files are hidden, you can easily retrieve them using a software called 'Recovermyfiles' which you can download the trial version of it for free online. Download and install recovermyfiles program on your computer. Execute it after the installation and locate the drive in which the files were before they got lost and recover them.
After the recovery process, select the files that you will save and choose the destination for saving them.
Hope this helps.
