I am trying to understand the concepts related to statistics. I came across the term ‘Types of Errors in Statistics.’ I referred to many books but could not understand it. Can anyone explain ‘Types of Errors in Statistics’ in short words?

Types of errors in statistics.

There are two types of errors in statistics.

• Type 1 error: When a null hypothesis is rejected, which was true, Type 1 error occurs. Type 1 error is also called as the error of the first kind.
• Type 2 error: This error occurs when a null hypothesis is accepted, which was false. Type 2 error is also called as the error of the second kind.
