Hi TechyV buddies!
Can you help me configure the problem that I encounter in using Ubuntu 12.04?
When Ubuntu 12.04 was release, TeamSpeak disabled me from talking or hearing sounds.
I am not certain what have caused this kind of problem.
It tells something about my speakers and my Microphone being muted/disabled.
What about Pulse Audio?
Does it have anything do with the problem?
I am a bit new to Linux so I am still trying to know a lot of things on it.
So if there is anyone out there who knows something about my problem kindly help me please.
I would be very thankful of any help to this matter.
Thank you!
On Ubuntu 12.04 why does TeamSpeak has everything is muted?
Hello Joey,
Teamspeak uses ALSA by default, and therefore you should attempt switching to pulseaudio and see if that will resolve the issue.
In case there is on audio on your system that is working, you will need to try the following workaround:
-
You will need to check undersound setting/hardware. In case your rig has got many choices, you will need to ensure that you have the right one selected.
-
In the event that you are using a dual boot system, you will need to log back into other operating system and then use the keyboard Hot keys to ensure that it is un-muted.
-
After that you can reboot into the 12.04 and see if that resolved the issue.
Regards,
Carl
