Hi there Experts! I have been using Ubuntu 6 OS for quite a long time and now that the new Ubuntu 12.10 has been released, I want to update to it. I use my Ubuntu 6 OS from my Ubuntu CD. When I tried to update the OS, it was unable to connect to the server. Can anybody help me to fix this problem please?

Oh damn. You need to download the updates from the update manager at Ubuntu. Or else download the entire O S from the UBUNTU site and then try to reinstall it to your machine. These are stable OS which will run via your own hard disk. All the purpose of it is to get latest features of the updated version. For that you will be able to update the software that ate available for download at the UBUNTU site individually. This is a very interesting concept that allows only those features that re used by you excluding unnecessary software pieces which are useless to you.
Thanks.
