Unable to Create Backup Using Macrium

Hello techyv community! I have recently installed Macrium Reflect Version 5 on my 64-bit Toshiba A505 laptop. I have tried to run Macrium Reflect from an installed drive, as I usually launch my imaging software from a rescue disk.

I enabled the option "Enable File Write Caching" before I made a backup copy of my local drives, but after completing 5% of the process on drive C:, I received the following error message: "Backup aborted! Unable to read from disk – Error Code 1117".

I have checked all of my disks using "chkdsk <drive letter :> /r /f", but I haven't found any problems with them.

Please help me solve this problem. I have always used Macrium to backup my computer, but this error really confuses me. It has extended a one-hour task into a lot of days, and I still don't have an image of my computer.

I really need to backup my files because I will be upgrading my laptop from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional Version. Thanks a lot for your suggestions.

Is your software compatible with your 64 bit system? Are you sure when you run chkdsk that there are no bad sectors or errors that have been found?

Or

I am thinking that Whole data encryption is not compatible with the macrium reflect, some people are using truecrypt.

Can you tell me your log file to find out more about the cause of the problem? Or try other programs that will help you on making your backup file there are more trusted and easy programs out there without some problems.

I will give you a review about the software on the market

https://www.business.com/categories/server-backup-and-imaging-software/

but if you want a free one try http://truecrypt.sourceforge.net/
