Unable to download TV Guide in Windows Media Center

Guys, I need some advice. Why is it that if I enable "SSL connection scan," Windows Media Center is unable to download the TV Guide? Event Viewer shows an error "The underlying connection was closed:

Could not establish secure channel for SSL/TLS." I need your suggestion on this. Thanks.

Unable to download TV Guide in Windows Media Center

This usually happens if your computer is experiencing an https compatibility problem with the server. Maybe it’s also because Windows Media Center is having a hard time using the SSL connection on your computer after you enable the SSL connection scan option.

If Windows Media Center works fine before without using this option then the program is more compatible using TLS or the Transport Level Security.

Since this is the case, try or avoid using or enabling the SSL connection scan option to avoid further problems with Windows Media Center.

You may also try checking your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. For a much thorough diagnostics on the system, use a disk utility application like Norton Utilities, or Norton SystemWorks.
