Unable to initialize Direct X

Hello the people,

I have a team (equipment) of basic window with 600 MHz processor. The operating system is Windows XP with 4 GB of RAM, 500 GB of my hard disk. I am using a video card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570.

So that it is short, this is a PC incorporated for gambling game ends (purposes). It is the error that I am receiving whenever I played a game;

(Game) was unable to initialize DirectX. Please ensure you have DirectX 8.1 or newer installed and that your display drivers are current. DirectX may be found on your (game) install CD under options.

I have DirectX version 8 installed in my team (equipment). Any way to insure itself, to unload the last version of DirectX 10 for Windows XP. But nevertheless, I cannot begin to any game that I play.

And, if the Cd of the game is inserted, the team (equipment) still (yet) does not recognize the Cd. But when I proved (tried) the disc of the game in another team (equipment), it is opened automatically on having inserted the CD in the optical unit (unity).

I have the installation disc for every game that I have played, but for the time being, none of the works. The games that I am on the point of playing are war crafts, the Devil, the Lord of the Rings, etc.

What do I need to do these games works? I have the most recent DirectX version. I am thinking about an update with my video card but I need help. Please it helps.

Unable to initialize Direct X

Hi,

What is your VGA card type? Check with game manufacturer and ensure that your game supports your VGA card.

Go to Start, Click on Run and type “dxdiag” without quotes within the Run box and click ok. Then go to display tab and disable Direct3D and enable again and check whether the game works.

In the same dxdiag box click on “Test” Direct3D and make sure it is working fine.

Go to contro panel, Click and open Display and click on advanced button under settings tab. Then go to troubleshoot tab and set hardware acceleration set to maximum, apply settings, restart PC and check.

Go to the game launching exe file, right click on it and click properties, then try to run the game by changing compatibility mode to different windows operating system (Compatibility tab).

Upgrade your VGA to the latest drivers.

Hope these will solve the issue

It is a problem with my vga and installing correct drivers. Thank you for your suggestions and support.
