Unable to mount Blank DVD-R Dick

Hi,

I am using Ubuntu OS 12.10 32 bit desktop. (Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E6500 @ 2.93GHz × 2). I get the following error message when I try to burn the lubuntu-12.10-desktop-i386.iso file to a blank DVD-R Disc, using the startup disk creator. What’s the issue with the whole process? Any idea would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Unable to mount Blank DVD-R Dick

Hello Gary,

It is a common problem to many users. Here is my recommendation to burn your DVD.

1. Insert your DVD inside the drive.

2. Browse the ISO file. Right-click on it and select “Write to Disk…”

3. Choose your CD drive.

4. Choose the writing speed. It is highly recommended to use the lowest speed so that less possibilities to lose data while burning.

If that fails also, you should try any other software for your Ubuntu.

• Brasero: The best tool in my recommendation. Nice GUI with simple functions to feel ease with burning disks.
• SimpleBurn: A simple program with many awesome features integrated. Free to use and also fast and efficient.
