Unable To Run Queries In MS Access

I have an update query I am trying to run, but my Microsoft Office Access will not let me run it. I have tried more than once, and have had this problem with more than one update query. When I run update queries I get the above error message.

Does anyone know how I am to fix this? I am currently running on Windows 7 Home Premium and have Microsoft Office Access 2000 if that helps generate solutions.

Please help, Techyv!

Thanks!

RUNNING QUERIES IN MS ACCESS

Making an updateable query is not very difficult. The first step is to come up with a query using tables that you want to update. Chose the query Design View and the select the Query option and then click on the “Update Query”.

Determine the location of the information that you wish to update and then drag all the information into the grid. Select the “Update To” icon then input the values that you wish to use in order to change the fields. Change this to “Datasheet view” in order to check the records that are to be updated. Go back to the “design View” in order to return to the query.  Then Run the query in order to update the records.
