My All-In-One printer has a scanner, copier and printer. I can scan a printed page and open it directly with MS-Word. The file will become editable and I can also save it in My Documents or any folders I want for future use. But today that feature is not working. When I clicked on Save and Save As, the page or the file just disappears. What can I do?

Unable to save scanned documents
Hi,
System restore is a option that give you program as the in back point.  You can do this:-
1 Click on star menu
2 Click on all programs and click on accessories.
3 Click on system tools and click on system restore point.
4 In system restore window click on system restore button.
5 After system restore restart your computer and check your program.
I think it would be fine.
You can also check you ms word software that would be work fine and can reinstall dryer of your scanner. You can also try windows update that would give you a latest driver and updates.

Unable to save scanned documents
Problems like that are simply caused by the device malfunctioning, and they could be solved by simply restarting the printer so as to refresh the settings, so if you have not tries restarting the printer yet, then I will ask you to do so. You may also consider restarting the computer that you have connected with the scanner or the one that you are using to scan your documents on the network.
Also check the printer settings. If you had changed anything in the settings that may be the possible cause to the problems then it will be better if you restore to the default settings to remove those changes and see if it works.
Have you tried saving in alternative formats like PDF or image format and see if they work, because the problem could not be with the word format alone?
