I just finished talking with my brother over Skype. After that I got an error that says, “Unexpected end tag: Expected font, actual font.” What is this error? This is the first time I encountered this. I searched on some forums and got an advice to change the region settings. I already did that but it does nothing. How can I fix it?
Unexpected End Tag Error on Skype
Hello Paul,
What you are getting looks like a script error to me, and therefore there might not be much to do but just uninstall the Skype that you have installed on your computer, and then perform a fresh installation of it.
But if you are able to use the client, there shouldn't be much of a problem.
Regards,
Carl
Unexpected End Tag Error on Skype
This problem you suddenly encountered with Skype is really from within the software you are using and has nothing to do with the just finished conversation with your brother. The software might have encountered a kind of error while it is communicating with your brother’s computer on the other end. And I also suspect that it is not a serious problem and is only a kind of glitch that happens to most programs.
Before doing any actions, try restarting your computer first and then see of you can launch Skype again on the next reboot without having to see that error again. And also remember to not let other programs run while using Skype to avoid any conflict between applications. If restarting the computer didn’t do any good, try doing a clean installation on the software. Uninstall Skype then restart your computer when asked. After booting, check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. For a much thorough diagnostic test on your machine, use a disk utility application like Norton Utilities. Install Skype again then see if this fixes the problem.
If you are using an older version of Skype, download the latest version from Skype | Get Skype.
