That’s what I also do when I want to upgrade Microsoft Office. I uninstall the old version from my computer and install the new version. I haven’t tried installing the new version over the existing version like the usual upgrading on other programs. But anyway, if you want to uninstall Microsoft Office 2013, the easiest way is from the Control Panel.
Click “Start,” “Control Panel” then “Add or Remove Programs.” Scroll down and select Microsoft Office 2013 from the list then click “Remove” or “Uninstall” then just follow the instructions. Once uninstall is complete, you need to restart the computer. This is required when removing Microsoft Office. Another way of uninstalling Microsoft Office is using third-party application like Revo Uninstaller.
Go to Revo Uninstaller Freeware and download the free version. It supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.x, Windows 10, and Windows Server. Once Revo Uninstaller is installed, run it then select Office 2013 from the panel. Click “Uninstall” then follow the instructions. Revo Uninstaller removes everything the program created on your computer from registry entries down to temporary files.
