Dear friend 

Many of  mobile cellular services providers are now proving, 4G LTE to their customers. They have been Advertising there are significant speed gain  when, we using 4G for internet surfing. I am  wondering to know, when we using  mms call flow in umts, is there any technological different between 3G and 4G network?

Hello

The fourth generation of (4G) Mobile generation communication standards. 4G is a successor of the third generation (3G) standards. 4G connection provides mobile ultra broadband Internet services, For gadgets like laptops, smartphones, and to other mobile devices. Conceivable applications include mobile web access, IP telephony, gaming services, high definition TV on the net , video conferencing, 3D technology and the cloud computing, Hence it provides advance functions like Voice call,MMS feature,Video Call, Now unfortunately there ain't any superior technology than 4G, However thing will be smoother as technology will improve significantly

Till then enjoy 4G technology, Cos not many people have that luxury

Hi Richard,

Technological difference between Third generation (3G) and Fourth Generation (4G) network include:

–     data throughput(100 to 300 mbps)

–     peak upload and download rate(50 to 500Mbit/s)

–     switching technique(Packet; message switching)

–     network architecture(LAN and wide area)

–     applications and services(CDMA 2000 etc and LTE-Advance)

–     forward error correction(turbo codes; concatenated codes)

–     Frequency band (1.8-2.5GHz; 2-8GHz).
