Hello!

I am  getting  an error  that says  iTunes could not check for an update to the carrier settings in my iPhone.

An unknown error occurred (1661). When i restored  iOS 5 beta today, this issue occurred.

I badly need your help to know why this happened to me.

An unknown error occurred (1661) on iTunes.

The problem thus exists upon installing the driver, an intermittent connection happens in a split second which corrupts the downloaded file not to function properly.

1. First is to download the latest version of iTunes
2. Download the file located at its side. Follow the steps properly until download is finishes.
3. Then install the iTunes according to the bit you are using.
4. You don't need to delete the old version of the iTunes, it will automatically copy and replace.

 I hope that this simple steps will make out your problem.
