Dear readers,

I’d like to know why the following error occurs and how I can solve this error.

 

Unknown StartTrace error (183)

Please give me a detailed explanation of the said error too.

Hello James R Wilson,

 

Good day!

 

It's good to hear from you. Your question about the error you have encountered is caused by ExMon crashing while collecting data and the Exchange trace. Also if the it is not  properly closed the tool will crash. Thus, you need to manually close it. Please follow the steps:

• Check and be sure to see that Exmon.exe isn't running (CTRL + SHIFT + ESC)
• run CMD: logman query -ets
• Itb will show the tracers which are running. 
• Stop Exchange Event Trace

And when the issue is not resolved, better check if there is disks space or check if someone is also using it.
