Can someone guide me to restore some important data that I lost recently while performing an upgrade to IOS 5. I also updated iTunes and iphone4 on my computer. After this upgrade all the calendar notes that I had are missing. I don’t know whether these notes were safely moved to some other place.  Everything else is functioning properly including Hotmail. Please help me out to restore the data.

Hi Charmaine,

iOS 5 is now using iCloud so that your emails, contacts, messages and calendars can be accessed wirelessly via your network. If after upgrading your OS your data and all calendar notes are not accessible you can restore it by using a back up file saved on your iTunes. You just need to plug in your iPhone to the computer and click on Restore back up on iTunes.

To be able to add and get your calendar notes, you just need to enable Calendar on iCloud by going to Settings > iCloud > Toggle the slider in line with Calendar to on. You should be able to choose the calendar you want to retrieve.
