The UPS connected to my PC would supply power for about 30 minutes but during the two weeks the UPS is showing only signal light as like as a multi plug but it fails to supply power for a single moment, How can I solve this problem?
UPS power supply does not work
The UPS is meant for backing up the files or save the important work done when power is gone. The UPS has inbuilt battery and a little mechanism which converts AC to DC. Therefore, in order to get the effect of UPS, the battery needs to be charged.
Firstly, please check whether the battery is charged or not.
Secondly, Please ensure the electricity voltage in your room. There must be a printed information of power voltage requirements to run the UPS somewhere at the back or front of the UPS device. Normal UPS needs 230v of power consumption to get charged. So please check your room voltage with your stabilizer instrument. The voltage fluctuates always. As you have said that earlier it was giving 30 minutes of back-up, maybe that time your voltage was fine. And now maybe some fluctuations.
Thirdly, Now if it still does not work giving back up, then the UPS device must be having some battery problem. The mechanism must positively be okay because if it is spoiled then the whole UPS would not be working. So no doubt about the mechanism and circuit part. Now comes the battery, the AC throws the power to the battery but it does not take it and store the power. This is the problem. So, you need to take help from a technician to get it done. He will help you in this part.
Thanks.
UPS power supply does not work
It means that you should check your battery because it might be already leaking inside the UPS or the board of the UPS is not functioning well anymore. Change the battery of the UPS is pretty easy you just need to buy a UPS battery like the image below:
This is the most common issue that a UPS is facing.
Also the board of your UPS might able the problem. If you know a little electronics, usually there might be some exploded capacitors inside your UPS board so you need to replace this. If you are not knowledgeable on this, then I suggest that you bring it to a service center near you.
