How are elliptic curves used in cryptography? What are Elliptic Curve Crypto Systems? How are they different from the RSA? Explain the function used in Elliptic Curve cryptography (ECC). Is this encryption methodologies faster than the conventional models like RSA? Are there any disadvantages of using the Elliptic Curve Cryptography Model in Encryption?

Elliptic curve cryptography is an approach for public-key cryptography which is based on elliptic theory. This can be used to create small, fast and work efficient cryptography keys. It also reduces storage and transmission requirements. Elliptic curves are useful in encryption, digital signatures and other related tasks. Elliptic curve technology can be used along with RSA. This type of cryptography technology can produce a level of security with 164-bit key whereas other systems may require 1024-it key to provide security. So, Elliptic curve cryptography is faster but the disadvantages with this type of cryptography are increased size of encrypted message, more difficult to implement than RSA and reduced security levels.
