I have PPTP and Cisco VPN connections. I want to know if it’s feasible to have the two connections on the same machine at the same time using two network cards. Every Network Interface Controller (NIC) will aim to distinct connections. If this is possible, how can I aim it? Help please.
Use two VPN connections on the same machine
Generally, it will not be possible for you to run two different VPN client programs at the same time on the same host. But it may be possible conceptually but then not in practice for you will find that two different vendor's VPN clients will tend to be against each other. It may be possible to configure a single VPN client, but then you will use a policy that will permit it to reach more than one destination. Doing it that way is called split-tunneling. An example will be where the VPN policy might send all the traffic to the IP address 192.168.0.0/24, but then it has to go over the first LAN network which has not VPN, and then other traffic will go to the VPN tunnel, and then to the concentrator.

Use two VPN connections on the same machine
Yes, it is possible to use two network card at the same time. This is the condition when you want to use one computer as a router device or as a bridge over a network then you can use two cards at the same time over a network. You can then specify that what network card you want to use. You will be able to set the traffic on the same card you want to use. Because two cards have two different IPs and they will work as two IPs and it will be easy to use one you want and leave the other you don't want to use. Also you can use them both at the same time. It is also easy to maintain.
Also you can use a router device to combine two networks if both are of same type you can connect these two connections and then you will be able to connect it to your computer. It will be easy and simple way to connect two services.Â
