I am new to Access 2010 and for some time I have been working on creating a database which has tables linked to share point. I am now through with it and everything is running well but now the users are unable to effect any changes on the database. All these happened when I transferred the database to the shared network drive from drive C. Any time they try to make any changes they get a message stating that the object is read only. I am interested to find anyone who can help solve this problem because I don’t have any slightest hint on how to resolve this. Please help.

You have to make sure that you can also write in the shared network. I think your problem is that the administrator may have change the network security to a different settings and have forgot that you must have both read and write access. Please contact your administrator to correct the problem but to make sure that you can change it as well, you have to click the shared network folder and then right click and choose properties. Check the Security Tab and then check both read and write and every check box that you see for your account so that you have all the rights for the shared network drive.
