Using laptop 24×7 without shutting down for Long Time.

I have HP laptop, this is my first laptop, and I have free WiFi availability. I have a question, that could I just put my laptop always ON for 24×7, without any problem, can you sugget me any preventive measure to save it from hardware loss. Frankly telling I haven's shut down it from past one month, it stays always on. Can it cause any problems? Please suggest.

Using laptop 24×7 without shutting down for Long Time.

There is really no specific proof about whether it is bad not to turn off the laptop or not and I guess it depends on the situation and how you use your computer. One user shared about his habit of not turning off his laptop and he just let it run 24 hours in a day 7 days in a week.

He said he didn’t experience any problem with the computer. He also said that even if he is doing this, not letting the machine to rest, he makes it a point that the laptop runs on battery at least once a month. This is for the battery so it can cycle.

I guess this is needed because when you let your laptop run 24/7 this means it is plugged in to the charger all the time and if this is the case, the battery will never cycle because the computer is on AC power. Apple also said that it is ok for the laptop to always run on AC power but recommended to allow it to run on battery at least once a month.
