Using a laptop webcam as a regular camera

I just got my new laptop which is a Toshiba and one of the most important criteria that I had for the choice, was the webcam. The reason I have imposed myself this condition is that I want to occasionally be able to snap pictures with my webcam. I know that software use the webcam for streaming. How to I make my webcam act as a camera.

Using a laptop webcam as a regular camera

Hello, by default, the camera application from Toshiba should come along when you bought your laptop. It should be somewhere there if you bought it together with OS. On the search bar of the OS, type in "Toshiba Web Camera Application", it should show the application afterwards. If this doesn't solve the problem, the installer is freely available at the Toshiba website.
