How can I use my cellphone as a modem to my laptop?

You can use your cellphone as a modem to your laptop. But before doing so, you have to confirm the followings:
1. Your cellphone number  serves with internet. Almost all of them serve with internet.
2. Your cellphone set model support internet and oriented with your cellphone number. You can take help from the cellphone set’s customer care or the customer care of you cellphone number.
3. Install your cellphone set’s PC Suite software. You can collect the software from the market compatible with your cellphone set. Â
4. Buy applicable usage.
5. Proceed on.

You can use your mobile phone to connect your computer and laptop to the internet. For this, you will need a mobile phone with modem circuitry enabled, a data plan for your mobile connection and software for your laptop.
You must first connect your phone to your laptop using a USB cable which usually comes along with your mobile phone when purchased. Then, you have to install the software that came along with your phone. Once you have installed the software, your phone acts as a modem for your laptop. If your phone supports 3G, you can download data at a speed between 220 to 700 Kilo bytes per second.

This is called typically called tethering, WiFi hotspot or "Internet Sharing" on some phones.
Depending on your phone's operating system and data package with your cellular service provider, it is most likely that your phone is capable of turning into Wi-Fi hotspot mode.
Otherwise, you may also look up for appropriate solution for your phone using your favourite search engine by using keywords such as your phone model, "internet sharing","tethering" or "hotspot" or "as modem".

You did not mention which mobile phone you are using. Android, IPhone or any other?
To use your cell phone as modem you need to gather certain things:
1. The device which you will use to connect with internet, In your case a Laptop.
2. A mobile phone which can be used as a modem or a data capable cell phone.
3. Data plan from you service provider for your mobile phone.
The method we use is known as Tethering, which allows a laptop to go online by using a cell phone.
Now with your Mobile data plan you can go online using laptop with the help of Bluetooth, Data cable or WiFi as a carrier.

Hello there,
  First of all be sure that using your mobile you can browse internet. Now if your mobile supports internet than you have to look for supporting software of that phone. Now if there is nothing you get google or any other search engine than ask your phone company and ask them for supporting software.
Install that software and ask your mobile operator for the internet configuration. Now set the configuration and you will get an option for connection to internet. Also read the manual of your supporting software.
